Hello! My name is Lauren Rachel and welcome to my blog. I have lived in Chicago all of my life and currently reside in the lovely city neighborhood that is Wicker Park. I work a full time job, love thrifting, and enjoy life to its fullest.
I attended DePaul University where I majored in Digital Cinema with a concentration in Animation. I love to draw and paint, but in the end my wonderful editing professor switched my passion from animation to film editing and I decided that animation was no longer for me.
While attending DePaul University I became a member of Delta Gamma. Although I have graduated from college, I am still an active member in the Chicago Alumni Group.
I currently work as an Assistant Film Editor at a Chicago post-house known as The Colonie. We edit commercials and a lot of web promos, so you've probably seen some our work. I love the people I work with and the experience I'm getting at this fantastic company.
I wanted to start this blog as a way to motivate myself to carry my camera around with me more often. When I go out I will convince myself in my mind that where ever I'm going there won't be anything interesting to take pictures of. I would like to change that belief because just this city alone has so much to offer. Also, this blog is a great place for me to showcase some of my ever growing and evolving fashions.
